Social Media

-I find social media to be an imperfect form of communication.  I find it difficult to navigate, troublesome for communication and leads for medical problems.  Although I do not like social media, I understand social media is not going anywhere and I need to figure out how to use it for my benefit.  Hello everyone, I am looking to help the world from being destroyed; well, actually, I don’t know if that is possible, but let’s see what we can do to make it last longer and be a better place while it exists.

-I have thought about the movie “The Matrix” recently.  There is the part where Agent Smith is categorizing the human race and considers the human race as a virus.  I used to blindly agree with this, as it is clearly a thought out movie, and on base, makes sense.  However, I do not want to just look at the base of anything.

-Here is my argument, Agent Smith suggests that species find an equilibrium and humans don’t act like other “animals”.  I think humans do act like other animals.  They follow their instinctual urges similar to salmon swimming upstream to mate, mosquitoes speed into a death light and birds are attracted to large loud things (see “Sully).  Humans do strange thing, they do things that don’t make sense, they do things that are dangerous to ourselves and to others.  We measure our happiness by having first experienced pain.

-There is a communication lacking between humans and animals, maybe if we knew what animals were thinking we would be able to see as many varieties of personalities like humans (anyone who has spent a lot of time working with animals will argue with me that animals don’t have a different personality).  Maybe humans are just self-centered and only focus on themselves.  To wrap this up, I’ll connect to my initial point; social media is a bizarre way of for people to interact, but I’m trying to figure it out.
